Variant Lifecycle
The variant lifecycle visual shows a horizontal bar chart detailing for each selected variant, the workflow associated with the activities within the process model. The step width can either be fixed, or calculated based on the avg duration of the step event for each variant
This visual is accessible via the ‘Variant Lifecycle’ action icon and is integrated into the Variant Selector i.e. variants selected in the Variants pane will show in the Variant Lifecycle visual
Issue Lifecyle
The issue lifecycle visual shows a horizontal bar chart detailing for each selected issue, the workflow associated with the activities within the process model. The step width can either be fixed, or calculated based on the avg duration of the step event for each issue.
This visual is accessible via the following:
- ‘Issue Lifecycle’ action icon
- Context menu in Slicer -> Steps grid
- Context menu in Slicer -> Activities grid
- Context menu in Detail -> Tasks grid
- Context menu in Explorer -> Activities
- Context menu in Explorer -> Steps
Decomposition Tree
The decomposition tree offers a guided drill-through of task attributes associated with an activity, step or variant or rule. Only the top 10 attributes, either based on an ascending or descending sort are displayed.
- The metric associated with the drill-down can be changed via the Metrics drop-down
- The attribute associated with the drill-down can be changed via the Attributes drop-down. This should be performed for each different level
- The minimum and maximum number of tasks associated with the displayed attributes in a new level can be changed
- The minimum and maximum metric value associated with the displayed attributes in a new level can be changed
Insights
The Insights visual groups attributes together based on the metric selected, with the order been either an ascending or descending based on the metric value. Multiple attributes can be selected in order to determine groups of attributes associated with a variant, step, activity or rule
- The metric used to calculate insights can be changed via the Metrics drop-down
- The attributes used to calculate insights can be changed via the Attributes drop-down.
- The minimum and maximum number of tasks associated with the attribute groups can be changed
- The minimum and maximum metric value associated with the attribute groups can be changed
Influencers
The Influencers visual is like the Insights visual and groups attributes together based on the metric selected, with the order been either an ascending or descending based on the metric value. Multiple attributes can be selected to determine groups of attributes associated with a variant, step, activity or rule.
- The metric used to calculate insights can be changed via the Metrics drop-down
- The attributes used to calculate insights can be changed via the Attributes drop-down.
- The minimum and maximum number of tasks associated with the attribute groups can be changed
The minimum and maximum metric value associated with the attribute groups can be changed
Analytics
Analytics are available for Task and Event History, as well as Task and Event Attributes. Group by options are available for the different attributes, and the metric can be one of the following (dependent on what rules exists)
- Issue Volume
- Duration (mins, hrs and days)
- % Compliance
- Actual Cost
- Forecast Cost
- Cost Savings
- Avg Actual Cost per Task
- Avg Forecast Cost per Task
- Avg Cost Savings per Task
Inbound and Outbound Steps
These visuals are accessed via the Activity context menu within the Process Explorer, and display the inbound/outbound steps associated with an Activity. To remove outliers, the minimum % of tasks can be entered e.g. you can remove inbound or outbound activities with less than say 1% of all task
